Hello, and welcome to my blog!
I am a jeweller and an artist who is absolutely crazy about fossils, insects and gemstones (Hence the blog name).
I created this blog because I want to share my knowledge and interest of fossils, insects and gemstones with other people.
My interest for fossils started at quite a young age, I remember looking out for them along the Heacham coast.
It was, of course, quite a while till I found my first one (as I never really had a good knowledge of what I was looking for).
A few years later, I got it identified with two others; it turned out to be a crinoid stem (I had always thought it was a fish bone). It still is my favourite fossil I own.
Having finally found out what they all were (a crinoid stem, a belemnite and a sponge), I decided to find out more about fossils so that I could find even more on our next trip to Heacham.
This research paid off and I was able to find around twenty fossils in the space of one week.
Needless to say, I was hooked. I brought even more fossil books online and have been planning many future fossil hunting trips.
I have since been working to expand my knowledge upon Entomology (the study of insects) and Gemmology.
Currently, I’m continuing my art studies and am working towards getting a Bachelor’s Honours Degree in Fine Art.
